It is a metropolitan area with a rich history and a bright future! It is 2.4 million people in one million households, each seeking success, happiness and fulfillment. Some are well educated, with good incomes, while others are poor and marginalized. Some are healthy and fit, while others struggle with illness, high blood pressure, obesity or addictions. Some have happy families, many friends and deep roots in Baltimore, while others are desperately alone.

Spiritually, the bottom line for everyone of these men, women and children is the fact that God loves them! The Baltimore Metro Initiative is praying for Baltimore and working to improve the quality of life for individuals, families and communities.

August 23-24, 2003 - Free services, fun and information to help families raising healthy children: Blood pressure screening, ask the doctor, computerized health assessment, nutrition demonstrations and tasting, face painting for children, lead screening blood test, building health pyramids, and many other activities ... All free for the general public at 20 locations throughout the City of Baltimore and surrounding suburbs.
